Valley Medical Center (VMC) is actively recruiting a full-time (1.0 FTE) Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant) – Oncology to join our area clinics in our collaborative network where you will have easy access to system-wide support as you work alongside a highly motivated and skilled Oncology team. We provide patient-centered, team-based care to a diverse population of patients. This position will provide weekend coverage in our Infusion Center.


About the position:
  • General Schedule: 3  shifts Friday – Sunday to provide coverage for the infusion center. Current infusion hours vary between 8-7pm weekdays and 8-6 pm on weekends
  • Average # of patients seen per day: 10-14
  • We have triage nursing, financial coordinators, and treatment authorizers.
  • PharmD embedded in the Infusion Center
  • Support subspecialties with IR, GI, therapeutic and diagnostic interventionist, colorectal surgeons, and breast surgeons
  • Busy practice with lots of growth opportunities
  • Practitioners: 5 Medical Oncologists, one Medical Oncology APP, one Gynecology Oncology APP and 2 radiation oncologists.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain medical professional license in the State of WA and DEA with full prescriptive authority
  • At least one year of oncology experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience managing chemo toxicities strongly preferred

TOTAL COMPENSATION: $150,000 - $165,000
